Our story is simple. The idea for Bookapitch came about from our own personal experiences. We found it very hard to find and hire Venues that had good sports facilities.
Most Venues we spoke to had very little online presence. They were mostly using a combination of either an Online Calendar e.g. Google, or an Excel spreadsheet or Pen & Paper to manage the bookings on their sports facilities.
To make a booking, you had to either phone them up or email them. Even the Venues with a booking system, couldn’t show the availability of their sports facilities online. Almost all of the Venues that we spoke to, didn’t take online bookings and they were mostly getting paid in cash.
We also discovered that there were Venues that had great sports facilities but they did not want to rent them. The challenge these Venues had, was managing the internal demand from their own Teams for their Pitches and Sports Facilities.
The solution became clear. We needed to move the management and booking of Sports Facilities for both Venues and Bookers online. This is how Bookapitch was born.
